Throughout my childhood, academic, and career endeavors - one thing has been constant - storytelling is at the forefront. With a background in theatre, a degree in Communication Arts, and over 10 years of experience working as a Creative Director in arts and education, I aim to take my Narrative Chinese Medicine approach mainstream. I strongly believe the medical profession greatly benefits when artists become healers.

With a sense of humor, a big heart, and a personal history of overcoming PTSD - I welcome those who carry a heavy story to my treatment room. Each season of our lived experience needs to be honored, held, and expressed by telling and evolving our stories.

I began studying Chinese medicine in 2019 and spent years inside the full depth of the curriculum: classical theory, differential diagnosis, acupuncture, and the pharmacology of Chinese herbs. In 2025, I completed my Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine (DACCHM) — the highest clinical credential in the field. I am licensed as an acupuncturist in California (L.Ac.) and board-certified in both acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine.

My specialty is Chinese herbal medicine. Most practices treat it as an add-on. At With The Seasons, it is the primary clinical tool — prescribed from a granular herb pharmacy where every formula is compounded by hand, calibrated to your specific presentation, and adjusted as you change. The pharmacy is not a shelf of pre-made products. It is a working clinical resource.

I also write about seasonal living — the idea, based on Chinese Medicine theory, that health is not a static state but a practice of moving well through time. That writing lives on Substack and in my book Tending to the Seasons and informs how I work with patients. I want to know what season of life you're in and what your body actually needs right now.
